Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and Rampant LLC (“we”, “us”), which operates Synap at synap.ai and app.synap.ai. By using Synap you agree to them. If you use Synap for a company, you agree on its behalf and confirm you can.

Early access

Synap is in early access. Features will change, some may be removed, and there may be bugs or downtime. We may limit, pause or end early access at any time. Early access is currently free; if we introduce paid plans, we will tell you before anything is charged.

Your account

You must be at least 18. Keep your sign-in secure and tell us at info@synap.ai if you think someone else has used your account. You are responsible for what happens under your account.

Your data

What you put into Synap stays yours. You give us permission to store, process and display it only as needed to run Synap for you, as described in our Privacy Policy. You confirm that you have the right to keep the information you add about other people, and that you will use it lawfully, including privacy, anti-spam and marketing laws.

Connected accounts

When you connect Microsoft 365, Pipedrive, Google or an AI assistant, you authorize Synap to access that account within the permissions you grant, and to act on your behalf there (for example, updating an Outlook contact or adding a date to your Synap calendar). Your use of those services stays under their own terms. You can disconnect at any time.

AI features

Briefings, news alerts, transcription, follow-up suggestions and other AI features can be wrong or incomplete. Check anything important before you rely on it. Briefings draw on public sources and are not a background check, and must not be used for decisions about credit, employment, housing, insurance or any other purpose covered by the Fair Credit Reporting Act.

Acceptable use

Please do not:

• use Synap to harass, stalk, spam or discriminate against anyone;
• break the law or infringe anyone’s rights;
• try to get into other people’s accounts or data, or probe, overload or disrupt the service;
• scrape, copy or resell Synap, or use it to build a competing product;
• upload malware or anything you do not have the right to share.

Our service

Synap, its software, design and brand belong to Rampant LLC. We give you a personal, non-transferable right to use it under these terms. If you send us feedback, we may use it without owing you anything.

Ending

You can stop using Synap at any time and ask us to delete your account. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms or if we stop offering Synap; where we can, we will give notice and a chance to export your data first.

Disclaimers

Synap is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not promise that Synap will be uninterrupted, error-free or that data will never be lost, so keep your own copies of what matters.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, Rampant LLC will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim about Synap is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or $100.

Indemnity

You will defend and hold us harmless from claims arising from your data or your misuse of Synap, including claims by people whose information you added.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Mexico, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Disputes will be heard in the state or federal courts located there, and both sides consent to that jurisdiction.

Changes

We may update these terms. We will change the date above and, for meaningful changes, tell you in the app or by email before they take effect. Using Synap after that means you accept the new terms.
